Costa Rica
Family,
Costa Rica is one of the coolest places on the planet, and due to the fact that I spent ten days there, and had millions of great moments, I don't think I will be able to write them all down in a simple easy-to-read post. So I have decided to make a list of the really cool things, then I will add a few cool pictures to the bottom.
1. Eating black beans and rice at every meal
2. Meeting some really cool people
3. Hearing Spanish everywhere I went
4. Playing tons of soccer (they are really good at it, but like us, some of them are really bad)
5. Staying at some incredible hotels
6. Watching/Viewing volcanoes, listening to them, and watching bus sized rocks being pushed out of them (the rocks roar as they cascade down the mountain)
7. Going on cool hikes through the Rain Forests
8. Getting drenched in the Rain Forests
9. Having it so dark in the Rain Forests that I couldn't see 2 feet in front of me
10. Hiking to the top of Cerro Chato (some extinct Volcano next to Arenal)
11. Running into a non poisonous snake and a poisonous snake on the hike to the crest of Cerro Chato (the picture I have here is the none poisonous snake, the poisonous snake was called a "jumping pit viper" you should Google it)
12. Hiking back down Cerro Chato (pretty much, this was a steep, cliff like, downhill that went on forever)
13. Taking a mud bath, and running through water that was 183 degrees Fahrenheit.
14. Swimming (need I say more)
15. Going on a super long boring hike through the Rain Forest on the 7th day (15 Km)
16. Swimming in a river, and going down a waterfall
17. Walking across some super high, scary rope bridges
18. Going down a 700 meter water slide (the thing went on forever)
19. Going on a Zip Blind through the canopy of the rain forest
20. Visiting many different kinds of rain forests
21. Running into a tame/wild/somewhat weird bore (pig like thing, but this one acted like a dog.)
22. looking at cool volcanoes
23. Eating Black Beans and Rice (I got sick of them on the 3rd day, after breakfast)
24. Hanging out with Paulito (his name is Paul, but we called him Paulito, he is the one with the green leaf hanging around himself...)
25. Hanging out with Jake, Wes, Zak, Reagen, Grace Anne, Nate, Joey, and the gang...
26. I can't tell if I am repeating myself now... but there was a ton of really cool things
27. Catching frogs
28. Catching frogs and putting them in the girls room
29. Watching the girls scream when we put a triantula in their room.
30. Swimming at the beach
31. Getting caught by a riptide
32. Playing volleyball
33. Alligators
34. Iguana's
35. Howler monkeys (these make some really cool noises
36. Learning about some really cool plants (Strangler Fig...)
37. I better stop now, ask me if you want specifics, and I can tell you... I also left a ton out...

Do you love the pictures? I took them and went to download them - no cord. As soon as I find the cord, I'll post some. I'll also get Jeremiah to post about their trip and some pictures.
