This is what we found
July 24th.
This was the fireplace
before. The bricks went
up the wall half way, the
complete length of the
room.
It fell down when we were
removing the paneling.
The mortar was wet and
had disintegrated.
Insurance won't pay for
it, so we've simply boxed
it in until we can replace
it. You can see where we
boxed it in to the left of
the tv. Notice the new
lights and no more
popcorn ceiling!
This is what the walls looked
like after we removed the
paneling and lost the fireplace.
We had to dig down and
fix a crack in the foundation,
so we added a door.
Since we had big equipment
coming in the backyard
to fix the crack in the foundation,
we enlarged the two
windows.
